In this adaptation of the Little Red Hen fable, Ruby wants to build a fort, but her three brothers refuse to help, so when the fort is finished Ruby will not let them join her--until the boys come up with a few embellishments for the fort, like a mailbox, a garden, and a fresh coat of paint.

Fun submitted by skiger on July 31, 2018, 10:26am This is a fun version of the little red hen. We liked how Ruby got help from all sorts of adults in her life and was working along side them to get her fort built. It also provided relatable examples from the moral of the original little red hen.
