Excellent author submitted by Susan4Pax -prev. sueij- on August 7, 2018, 6:31pm _Binti: Night Masquerade_ is just as creative and innovative as the first two Binti books, but it didn’t strike my fancy quite as much, and I think I figured out why. This third book feels like an action/adventure movie, with near constant stresses, explosions, and episodes of high tension. The first two books certainly had plenty of the same, but I think had a larger balance of Binti’s inner journey of discovery. Personally, I like that sense of questioning and learning that happens in the quieter moments.

Okorafor is an outstanding writer, and I always recommend her books (well, everything I’ve read so far, which is nearly all of them). That includes _Night Masquerade_, even though it went a slightly different direction from the first two.
