A lesson in racism submitted by kencza on June 25, 2018, 11:58pm A number of top notch performances especially Judi Dench and Ali Fazal in this
tale of the relationship between the Queen and Abdul. The racism and hate expressed
by the Queen's staff, son, the Prime Minister, and physician is not strong enough to alter
Victoria's admiration and affection for Abdul. Good Stuff!

Part of history submitted by Xris on March 3, 2019, 12:12am I know that not all of it is true, but I like the thought that the queen took time to get to know someone from India, learn their language to speak and write, since she was their queen. It gave her a friend in her twilight years. And yes it was sad how her family and the household treated Abdul. Very lovely movie, and it didn't hurt that Ali was so handsome.
