Tom Holland plays the titular hero this time and he is probably my favorite of the three "modern" movie Spiderman. He perfectly encapsulates the youthful enthusiasm and awkwardness, the nonstop chatter, not to mention the bad decisions that almost any boy of this age would make with the powers and toys he's been given. The general theme of the story isn't much different than the first Tobey Mcguire movie. Just the roles have been moved around. All the supporting characters are spot on. In particular, a seriously reimagined Aunt May, and the dry, subversive humor of "Michelle" are real treats. Michael Keaton as the Vulture felt fully fleshed out. All in all, a delightful movie with few flaws.
