A series of lectures delivered by Professor J. Rufus Fears of the University of Oklahoma in which he explores the world's greatest myths. Beginning with the Trojan War and the Illiad and moving through the Bronze age in the Mediterranean with Theseus and Oedipus, Mesopotamia and Gilgamesh, the three great religions from the Middle East, the Roman Empire in the Aeneid, Romulus and Remus and Augustus, Alexander the Great, the British Isles, Beowulf and King Arthur, Julius Caesar and Napoleon, ultimately crossing the Atlantic to consider the myths of America created from the oldest legends of humankind.

Interesting submitted by seadocks on August 8, 2013, 3:15pm I was worried that this lecture series would be boring based on some online reviews that did not like the speaker. i found his storytelling to be very interesting and his rhythm was weird and kept me focused on the content. I liked the DVD lectures better but they are not really that different, it is the same content you just actually see the dude.
