Emotional! submitted by Beth Manuel on June 18, 2014, 7:59am Holy smokes, this was intense. Julia Roberts had said she felt like she'd climbed a mountain every day of filming because of its emotional intensity. Meryl Streep plays an embittered, drug addicted matriarch with secrets....don't they always have secrets? There's some wow factor in this one.

Fantastic Acting submitted by monkk on June 23, 2014, 8:48pm This is a heavy movie about serious family issues with a lot of swearing! But I seriously enjoyed every character, and I watched the credits wanting to know more about what happens to this family. Meryl Streep is great, as usual, and this was the best I've seen Julia Roberts since Pretty Woman.

Didn't want to watch it...but glad I did! submitted by amk08 on August 13, 2014, 1:02pm Great movie, wonderful actors. This movie plays with your emotions and it left me, wondering. Overall, I enjoyed the movie and recommend it.

Not submitted by cinderellariley on August 14, 2014, 2:53pm Did not live up to the hype.

August Osage County submitted by SBNB on August 1, 2015, 8:33pm Strange movie. Drug addict mom and a dad that disappears. I didn't like it.

Wasted my time submitted by mandevil on February 21, 2016, 10:54am This movie is about mean spirited people who verbally abuse each other. The one performance worth watching is Chris Cooper standing up to his wife as she tries to belittle their son. Not sure why this movie was ever made, no redemption of any of the characters. A waste of time.

August submitted by leenajong on August 11, 2017, 1:55pm I think it's high drama show. Very intense.

Intense submitted by KOH on August 28, 2017, 8:21pm A lot to digest, drama-wise. But there are some excellent acting performances.
