When Jazz Gets the Blues submitted by Meginator on August 24, 2020, 9:12pm I really appreciated the interplay between the soloists and the band on these tracks, which makes them more generally accessible for listeners who haven’t been exposed to a lot of jazz. I found the overall style very appealing, as it draws heavily on blues influences while incorporating elements of later jazz styles.
