excellent book submitted by ginarae3 on August 25, 2017, 6:59pm This book is not just for young readers. It was incredible. It was dark, interesting, and refreshing. My family listened to it on a road trip and we all (ages 11-38) loved it. The characters were so well written.

What this synopsis doesn't mention is that this kid is obsessed with John James Audubon's Birds of America. The way the author weaves the artistry and importance of the double elephant book into the story is magical. If you love birds you just might love this. I laughed, I cried, and I truly enjoyed how the birds almost became characters in the story. So, so good.
