fascinating, dark, and beautiful submitted by TeacherN on July 26, 2019, 9:21am Based on years of research, the author imagines one man's life in North Korea. The story is dark, yet intensely beautiful. The lies that each character must tell themselves and others in order to survive are shocking. I know this book will stay with me for a long time.
