At Their Best submitted by dakeahl on July 1, 2011, 9:51am One of the all time greats. A variety of music styles on display - from disco/funk (Miss You), country (Far Away Eyes), rock ballad (Beast of Burden) to rock/blues (Respectable). And, Keith is fantastic on Before They Make Me Run.

Late Classic submitted by kittenkat101 on July 18, 2011, 5:50pm One of the Rolling Stones' late classics. I can't even... This album is good. You can hear the blues, country, and disco influence on many of their songs. I can't recommend this CD enough.

Ehh submitted by SaraP on August 3, 2019, 9:43pm I've never understood the love people have for this album. It's got some decent songs, but it's too produced and discoy for me.

Actually Really Good submitted by Meginator on July 8, 2023, 9:59pm This is a fantastic album, from its memorable singles to a strong slate of album tracks that never feel like filler. The Stones explore a few different sounds throughout the course of the album, using their core blues-rock instincts as a launching point and incorporating some of the newer sounds that were emerging in the broader pop landscape at the time it was written and recorded. Every track here is worth listening to, and the entire project holds together really nicely as an evolution for the band and, in turn, as an influential album in its own right. The Stones can be overhyped and overplayed, but albums like this reveal why it is that they are so revered; it’s simply a solid collection of songs with a subtly shifting, musical identity.
