Even though this movie was based on the premise of another man, I thought it was a good story. Forest Whitaker is such a fine actor!

Amazing Cast/Amazing Story submitted by j9hutch on July 15, 2014, 1:10pm This movie is based on a true story, but after some research I found that much of his life was fictionalized. Still it was very well done and the list of amazing actors involved is very long. Forest Whitaker and Oprah Winfrey are wonderful. My daughter was amused when I told her that the same person who played Severus Snape in the Harry Potter movies played Ronald Reagan in this movie! I would HIGHLY recommend this movie.

Amazing! submitted by Xris on July 26, 2021, 10:19pm They start on a plantation and go up through the civil rights movement and all the presidents in between. And they stars that they got to play all the parts were stunning. Interesting to see how the butler was changing the hearts of presidents from inside the White House, while his son was trying to change things in the streets. Loved it!
