An Edgier Archie submitted by Lady Macbeth on July 25, 2016, 3:35pm The reboot of Archie delivers exactly what is promised: a new and edgier art style with a new and edgier plot (edgy being a word chosen by the Archie Comics CEO, not me). What they didn’t realize, and what I didn’t until reading it is that maybe Archie shouldn’t be edgy. The new and improved Archie (while being objectively very good) just makes me nostalgic for the 90s Archie that populated my childhood.

Newer, edgier Archie submitted by nsvinicki on August 1, 2017, 11:52am I never liked the original Archie comics (which, let's be honest, featured one of the original great love triangles) because I thought the style was a little old-fashioned and not my speed. This series updates the style, updates the situations, and gives a seriously awesome face-lift to the whole world of Riverdale. On the back of a CW series, I hope long-time Archie fans are as thrilled as I am!
