Peter Sellers submitted by willow on August 18, 2015, 3:35pm Peter Sellers plays Hrundi V. Bakshi, a bumbling Indian actor. This is the sort of portrayal of Indians with strong accents that are to be laughed at, that has become the norm.

One of the funniest movies ... ever. submitted by jrcrj on July 29, 2019, 7:32pm Peter Sellers is brilliant in this only-could-have-been-filmed-in-the-60s comedy. There is hardly any dialogue, so it's a great film to show to your aging mom or dad if they like comedies, as they don't need to hear the little dialogue there is. Some people may take offense at Sellers's portrayal of Hrundi V. Bakshi, an actor from India, but he's brilliant and I can't think of anyone else that could have played the role the way he did. There are sight gags that will have you laughing out loud, and Claudine Longet's whispery rendition of Henry Mancini's "Nothing to Lose" is a unique reflection of the times, with the popularity of Jobim. A must-see film if you love to laugh. I've seen it at least ten times and I still get it from the AADL. Grateful they have it on DVD and Blu-ray.
