Great submitted by karenkay on July 24, 2011, 7:58pm My absolute favorite series of beginning chapter books. Well-written, humorous and tolerable for adults to read over and over again. Nate is generally nice to friends but does refer to one of his friends as “odd”, “weird” or “strange”. Watch for the cute letters he writes to his mother.

Good stories, great detective submitted by Sara W on July 19, 2019, 8:12pm These are fun stories - the puzzles are really quite good considering these books are aimed at beginning readers. Lots of pancakes, clever clues, and lots of love for pets make these stories stand out. The audiobooks are a great way to enjoy them with more Nate has his opinions but is tolerant of the quirks of others.
