Nim Rusoe is a young girl who inhabits an isolated island with her scientist father and communicates, via e-mail, with the reclusive author of the novel she has been reading. Nim's existence mirrors that of her favorite literary character, Alex Rover, the world's greatest adventurer. But Alexandra, the author of the Rover books, leads a reclusive life in the big city. When Nim's father goes missing from the island, Nim gets Alexandra to come to her island. Now, the two must draw courage from their fictional hero, Alex Rover, and find strength in one another to conquer the island.

COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Not what I expected submitted by andreahubert on June 30, 2012, 10:12pm I'm not totally sure what I expected when beginning this movie, but whatever it was this movie didn't fit. It's a good movie, but not quite worth watching over and over.

awesome submitted by Blackberry Elf-Glitter on July 13, 2013, 2:52pm I watched it a long time ago, and then again when I was aching to re-watch it. It's really cute, and the plot is really nice, and the whole idea of being alone, in a hideaway in the woods on an island is really comfortable. I recommend watching this movie on a rainy day sometime. :)

it was O,k submitted by chioma on July 18, 2014, 9:05pm I thought it would be better, more of an exciting adventure, it was O.K. but not what I quite expected
