AMAZING! submitted by apicknell on July 10, 2015, 9:04pm If you love the Early Middle Ages (also known as the Dark Ages), this lecture series will not disappoint! Jennifer Paxton fills each lecture with great detail as well as over-arching themes. The series covers history from before the fall of Rome up to Henry VIII. Paxton helps us travel to a mysterious time historians and scholars still know little about. Unlike many other lecture series which can become bogged down in the minutia of research, Paxton explains how this research helps us understand the larger portrait of Medieval life, and how Medieval life continues to influence culture and society today.
