Follow this fearless squire and his band of medieval misfits as they careen their way toward impossible glory that's part romance, part road trip and part exuberant swashbuckling.

Zany submitted by Fevvers - STAR473 on June 26, 2014, 8:13pm Anachronistic yet mood-appropriate music, Paul Bettany playing a manic Chaucer (yes, THAT Chaucer), and Heath Ledger's thoroughly charming performance make this a really fun movie. I love serious historical fiction and have done extensive research on the time and place in which this was (more or less) set - but the madcap fun of it banished my nitpicking and disarmed my fact-checking automatic response.

The poor squire from the wrong side of the tracks sets out to change his life and, a little bit, his world. It's joyful and lighthearted, and hangs together fairly well. It just keeps me grinning at the audaciousness of the plain story dressed up in a very postmodern/meta way.

A Knight's Tale submitted by SBNB on August 4, 2014, 10:49pm I used to love this movie, and I still enjoy watching it.

Silly submitted by ishhewitt on July 10, 2016, 1:01pm This is an okay film for young adults. It's silly, but not great.

Silly fun submitted by KOH on August 27, 2018, 3:29pm A fun, guily pleasure movie!

Awesomely Bad submitted by eileenw on July 11, 2022, 8:01pm While not a "good" movie, it's fun. A guilty pleasure.

Disappointing submitted by RebeccaWittekindt on July 18, 2023, 7:28am Considering how big a fan I am of so many in this cast, I wish I could have enjoyed it more. Felt like the movie wasn’t sure what it wanted to be.
