Originally released as a motion picture in 1975.
"This disc is expected to play back in DVD video 'play only' devices, and may not play back in other DVD devices, including recorders and PC drives" --Container.
Roger Daltrey, Sara Kestelman, Paul Nicholas, Fiona Lewis, Ringo Starr.
Outrageously hedonistic 'rockopera' casts contemporary rock god Roger Daltrey as the world's first music superstar, Franz Liszt. Loosely based on the life of the composer, the film takes a fantastical voyage through rock'n'roll excess and adventure, peppered with cameos from such pop icons as Ringo Starr (as the Pope) and Rick Wakeman (as Thor).
DVD, widescreen (16x9, 2.40:1) presentation; Dolby Digital stereo.

want to see something truly bonkers.?? submitted by irenzero on June 21, 2020, 10:40pm Franz Liszt Franz Liszt Franz Liszt Franz Liszt ... as a rockstar complete with some of the most crazy set pieces you will ever see on screen.... truly unlike just about anything else and this could only be made in the 1970s...

Not my fav but special submitted by jibkidder on June 16, 2022, 11:52am This film was made the same time as Tommy and may have suffered from a too big budget. It is by far the most insane of his composer trilogy, lots of penis comedy. Ultimately too wacky and cartoonish for me to truly love it, but definitely a one of a kind trip.
