Robert Downey Jr. still makes this work submitted by hathaway1066 on August 7, 2014, 12:15pm If you like the style of Robert Downey Jr., you'll like this. Take him out of it and it's just another big-budget, CGI fest action movie, but he brings a nice energy to it.

A Surprisingly Good Second Sequel submitted by dntanzer on August 30, 2018, 11:30am I know it's not everyone's favorite, but I really loved IM3. I thought it did a good job of exploring the characters, especially Pepper and Rhodey. The other thing I thought was great was how Tony relied on the heroes in his life in addition to being a superhero. It seemed pretty poetic, which isn't something I normally associate with a Marvel movie. Overall, I still found it as fun as some of the other Marvel movies though not as much as my favorites (Iron Man, Captain America: Winter Soldier).

I really love Tony's story arc in this... submitted by Nehemiah9 on July 22, 2019, 8:39pm ...with his PTSD after the Avengers film which really set off the continuation of story lines from film to film. This one also suffers from a weak main villain with unbelievable motivations in Aldrich Killian. I think they made the right choice to change the Mandarin for this while they build the Marvel brand in China which was a huge amount of money that they could have lost hurting their ability to grow. So excited to see that the real Mandarin will be appearing in Shang-Chi which makes a lot more sense.
