A Delightful Discovery submitted by pej08 on July 16, 2015, 8:11am I recently went to the downtown library for an event, and while there I decided to check out the music selection. For a while I had been meaning to expand my knowledge of classical music and especially that of my favorite classical instrument: the violin. That's when I stumbled upon this gem; I had heard of Perlman and heard he was good, but as I started listening my jaw hit the floor. Perlman produces sounds that I had not even known could be possible, and plays with emotion that is overwhelming at times. While I will admit that not everyone will love every song on this CD, there is such a variety (from emotional slow sweeping pieces to fiery fast fiddling) that everyone will find something that they will be amazed by and fall in love with. This is the perfect CD for anyone looking for more emotion, art, and passion in their life.
