Touching submitted by ftan on July 9, 2013, 8:37pm Amour, although not a block buster, was a very touching movie about an old couple facing the loss of one another. The actors and actresses, though not well known, were fantastic and spot-on in their characterizations of the people they portrayed. This was a very touching film about everlasting love. Although it may seem a forgone conclusion that the film is centered around love based solely on the title, which means "love" in Spanish, this film will reach into your heart, tugging at strings that will leave you thirsting for more.

Very Emotional submitted by crazypockets on August 9, 2013, 5:30pm I saw this movie in the theater around Oscar time, and you could really tell the audience was not prepared for how intense this movie would be. At the end, it was as if every one of us let out a sigh of absolute exhaustion/misery. That's not to say it isn't a beautiful movie, because it is. But it is not a light-hearted love story about senior citizens. It's a heartbreaking, very very hard to watch story of two peoples' physical and mental decline and their struggle to stay together and survive. It takes you through a lot of emotions and is so realistic, you will feel like you are in the apartment with these two people as they work through their daily struggles. The acting is so great, it's easy to forget they're actors, and it's hard to not get emotionally invested in their lives. A wonderful movie, but not an easy one.
