90s Throwback submitted by Meginator on August 27, 2020, 6:47pm With its twangy sensibility and huge, catchy choruses, this album feels like a bit of a throwback to the 1990s, offering a change of pace from the pop country that currently dominates on the radio. From the music to the lyrical content, Pardi takes his cues from the genre’s rich history, and the overall effect feels authentic despite being very stereotypically “country”. This album doesn’t reinvent the wheel or move the genre forward in any meaningful way, but it sure is a lot of fun.
