COMMUNITY REVIEWS

All Clear submitted by Jen Chapin-Smith on August 19, 2013, 9:18am The sequel to "Blackout," which you really must read first, "All Clear" completes the story of three time traveling historians from Oxford University. The two novels are part of a larger series on time-travelling historian from far in the future.

The two books won the 2010 Nebula Award for Best Novel, the 2011 Locus Award for Best Science Fiction Novel, and the 2011 Hugo Award for Best Novel.

"All Clear" is both fascinating and sad. Most of it is set in World War II and so (SPOILER ALERT) does feature a lot of death. I recommend it and all the other science fiction books Connie Willis wrote but be prepared to get upset when some of your favorite characters die. However, the story of a family that weaves itself out of the ripped fabric of war is quite heart warming.
