Choreographers Workshop submitted by tisaallen on June 18, 2022, 2:34pm Originally released as a very limited LP on the Saturn label in 1966, this consists of performances at the Choreographer's Workshop in New York where the Arkestra rehearsed and recorded frequently from 1961-1964, the first half of their time in New York. It features some weird echo effects that give it a somewhat psychedelic feel. The Arkestra runs through some guided improvisations that are relatively restrained before breaking off in all directions on the 18-minute final track. This has since been again reissued on CD by the Cosmic Myth label (the official Sun Ra label) with improved sound and some bonus stereo mixes of the songs.
