Brilliant concept album submitted by Cassildra on June 16, 2019, 2:35am This is not an album you can put on shuffle. No, Splendor and Misery is the kind of album you listen to from beginning to end, and your attention is captured from the first sound to the last note. It is a dark album, and not really easy to listen to; however, it's a Hugo nominee for a reason. I adore this album and think you will, too, if you don't mind some serious f-bombs.

afrofuturist rap opera submitted by tisaallen on June 20, 2022, 2:11pm The title comes from an unfinished novel by Samuel R Delany, whose work is a touchstone for this work as is that of Octavia Butler, whose novels are repeatedly referenced. It's the story of a man trapped alone on a space cargo ship with only the computer to keep him company. Consistently good production by Snipes and Hutson and rapping by Daveed Diggs.
