Modern Southern Rock submitted by Meginator on July 13, 2017, 1:13pm This album is a great blend of Southern rock and country elements, with the lyrics and instrumentation contributing to a generally laid-back vibe. The Drive-By Truckers have a sound that's all their own and their songs are deeply meaningful, paying homage to their Southern roots while offering some surprises ("What It Means" stands out in this regard). I really enjoyed this album.
