A sprawling, action-packed saga with John Wayne as the head of a construction company working at the building military sites for the Navy during World War II. After suffering the loss of many men after a Japanese attack, Wayne heads to Washington and helps establish the 'C.B.s' (Construction Battalions), units of armed builders.

WWII Propaganda, but worth a look submitted by irenzero on July 2, 2013, 11:15pm first off, if you are easily offended this is not for you, as the depiction and words used to describe the Japanese are of the time... which was 1944 when the US was still facing the Japanese in the Pacific. That said this is purely and simply a action drama heavily fictionalized version of the creation of the SeaBees. It's a little long, and a little too by the book, but still worth a look.
