Party Rock submitted by Meginator on August 11, 2019, 9:54pm This album functions really well as a compilation of upbeat tracks from recent years, with a mix of rap, pop, and EDM that comes together rather nicely. I was thrown a bit by unnecessary remixes of “Shut Up and Dance” and “Honey, I’m Good”, which are perfectly serviceable for party purposes in their original formats, but the track list is good and has a lot of energy. I give the editors extra credit for reintroducing me to “Beauty and a Beat” (vintage Justin Bieber with Nicki Minaj, of all people) and “Scream & Shout” (featuring the shockingly well-matched Will.I.Am and Britney Spears); they’re still stuck in my head.
