Pre-quel to the Frog Princess Series submitted by oonk on July 7, 2014, 7:35pm My 8-year old has loved this series about a royal family of witches since she was six. They go thru various adventures involving evil wizards, bad princes, dragons, spells gone wrong, troll kidnappings and the family curse. Good for fantasy-oriented kids who are too young for darker, more perilous adventures of books for older kids.

This book tells story of Grassina as a young girl whose world is turned upside down by her discovery of her own magic powers and her mother's falling to the family curse.

The first four books in this series (Frog Princess, Dragons Breath, Once Upon a Curse and No Place for Magic) follow the travails of Grassina's niece, Emma. Then this book was written as a prequel and then three books about Emma's daughter Milly. 8 books in all.
