Moomin submitted by tshish on July 7, 2016, 11:36pm Entertaining and funny. My kids love this series.

A Unforgettable Martian Invasion & More from Moomins Author Tove Jansson submitted by OlfactoryBookworm on July 7, 2019, 1:33pm Orson Welles’ “War of the Worlds” radio program has nothing on a flying saucer that crash lands in a cabbage patch in “Moomin and the Martians”. The perils of tinkering with martian equipment from the flying saucer include community bouts of levitation and invisibility, as well as playful disruptive pranks. The hijinks are so hilarious you’ll wish they occurred in real life. Go to Downtown Home and Garden and get some cabbage seeds. There’s fertile soil in Ann Arbor, Michigan so it’s possible to encourage a parallel universe where life imitates art by planting seeds. Besides, isn’t that what all great fiction is about?
