Uneven But Enjoyable submitted by Meginator on August 21, 2021, 9:22am This album has a couple of different musical modes: fairly standard pop country and singer-songwriter pop with some folk inspiration. Rita Wilson is excellent at both, but the styles make the album feel a bit disjointed as a whole despite their complementary features. Wilson’s evocative vocals effectively handle a range of emotions throughout the album, and a couple of the stronger tracks (“Crying, Crying” was my personal favorite) are enough to carry some of the more standard fare. The album feels a little uneven overall, caught a bit between two musical minds, but it’s still fairly enjoyable.
