The characters are a lot of fun.

Unlike with some other dysfunctional family moms on film, I can feel Cher's character's love for the kids. And her cover of "It's in His Kiss (That's Where It Is)" for this film is better than the original.
Plus: Bob Hoskins! What a hottie. A sweetie and a hottie.
