Based on the Marvel Comic book by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.
Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, James Franco, Thomas Haden Church, Topher Grace, Bryce Dallas Howard, James Cromwell, Rosemary Harris, J.K. Simmons.
Peter Parker has finally managed to strike a balance between his devotion to M.J. and his duties as a superhero. But there is a storm brewing on the horizon. When his suit suddenly changes, turning jet black and enhancing his powers, it transforms Peter as well, bringing out the dark, vengeful side of his personality that he struggles to control. Under the influence of the suit, Peter becomes overconfident and starts to neglect the people who care about him most. Forced to choose between the seductive power of the new suit and the compassionate hero he used to be, Peter must overcome his personal demons as two of the most feared villains yet, Sandman and Venom, gather unparalleled power and a thirst for retribution to threaten Peter and everyone he loves.
DVD, region 1, widescreen (2.35:1) presentation; Dolby Digital.

the studio submitted by lekendrick on September 26, 2010, 5:05pm rides on success this kind of a film & to not give an predictable five stars would be more about we'll never make that again or in cinema golden age were many better but such isn't case captured on film the marshaling so many resources not believed! Half star lost in the comic book feel armored car door not giving off sparks in those moments source material sighted! While not in plotting a movie based upon admittedly tomes of lore, but? These are what make us if not a lone super power globally the dominate force of media imperialism if another system could then this would be their testament!
Fantastic Movie! submitted by TripleH123 on June 30, 2011, 2:18am This was a fantastic movie and I like it a lot!
good submitted by ColeenT on July 13, 2011, 4:46pm great movie

Great movie submitted by bbelalggazali on August 10, 2011, 3:21pm just great its more of a family classic to watch spider man three
Ruined the Spider-Man Trilogy submitted by AMP35 on August 28, 2011, 12:22pm To make up for the terrible story line the writers decided to add not 2 but 3 super villians (Green Goblin, Sandman, Venom) to make us all forget how much the story for this Spider-Man lacks. I'm disappointed in the choice of Topher Grace as Venom (really the guy who was whimpy Eric Foreman from That 70's Show as the tough Eddie Brock). I'll forget this Spider-Man ever happened and call the Spider-Man film franchise a success with 1 & 2.
Good Movie submitted by mysterio on June 27, 2012, 1:53am This is a movie you could see once or twice, but that's it. Sam Raimi didn't live up to my expectations, but I do appreciate the fact that he incorporated three villains in the story. Three villians means thrice the action and thrice the web-slinging fun!
Okay Movie submitted by jarroyo on July 27, 2012, 6:53pm This movie was okay. In my opinion, it was the weakest of the three Spiderman movies. I thought the villains were not very interesting (especially compared to the other two movies). If you are a fan of the Spiderman movies then this one is worth seeing.
love movie submitted by vadnala on June 14, 2013, 2:02pm the movie was great!
Hmm submitted by crazypockets on July 13, 2013, 12:18pm This is where the franchise started to lose me a little.... I can see why it was the last put out in this style. It got even more cheesy than the others, especially with "bad Peter" and his dance moves. The CGI with the sandman could've been a bit better, too. I don't think it'll stand the test of time. Still not a bad movie though.
spiderman submitted by Drake Emmitt on August 15, 2014, 12:55am Spiderman is not supposed to be bad at all, so this movie is just action packed and the story has lost me.
Again not great submitted by ishhewitt on July 10, 2016, 2:31pm I didn't care for these Spider-man films. This one in particular was quite terrible.
Okay submitted by jduffy12 on August 20, 2016, 10:04pm It was fine
Oh gosh submitted by tcrbondy on June 16, 2018, 10:40pm This movie was embarrassing. Feel free to ignore this one and its cringey moments
Spider-Man 3 submitted by lstorc on August 6, 2018, 3:31am There were unfortunate moments, but it was good overall.
I liked Sandman. He's so hard to fight.

The evil Peter/Spidey came from the comic book back in the 80s' Secret Wars. Nice how they brought it to life and gave it a persona and a new person to plague.
Recommended.
