COMMUNITY REVIEWS

I like Hitchcock's later remake of it better, but this one's scary and good. submitted by lisa on July 26, 2018, 3:49pm It's just missing the camp winks of Hollywood.

Yes, the remake here was far better than this lame original. submitted by Tassos on May 21, 2021, 12:53pm Hitch sure improved over time. Maybe he himself believed the original was not as good, and was bad enough that it merited a remake.

Has it's good points, but overall, the remake is much better. submitted by KidBlue on January 17, 2023, 5:31pm Peter Lorre is very good. The basic plot is good, but its eecution is poor.
Also, it's very intense and has a high body count, especially for the 1930s. That was the main reason I disliked it.
