Bob Lee Swagger is a master marksman who has retreated from his duty as an off-the-books hired gun for the military. He has become disillusioned with his government, but finds that the government needs Swagger to scope out the location of a rumored attempt on the life of the president. A shadowy government operative begs Swagger to use his sniper's skills to out-fox the assassin. Ultimately he is double-crosses and framed for the attempted assassination. Now he must go on the run to find who set him up to take the fall.

Shooter gets the job done submitted by paulgreinerjp on October 1, 2007, 9:21pm While nothing new, I was pleasantly surprised. Shooter gets the job in an efficient manner without being silly or boring, (tho, maybe Danny Glover's lines go a step in that direction).

Didn't even mean to watch it but a friend started watching it, and for some reason became intrigued. I do have to warn there is sexual violence again a woman in it. I always warn people in a review if there is, because I know there are many women out here who like me are sensitive to seeing or even reading that sort of thing, but since I watched this on tv, it went to a commercial, so just keep a heads up. Otherwise very good movie!
