COMMUNITY REVIEWS

A little-known gem submitted by StephB on June 11, 2022, 4:37pm This black and white film by David Lean takes place in post-WWII England. It is a simple story about two married people who accidentally encounter each other at the train station while going from the suburbs to London. While it may seem dated, the movie captures the surprise of unexpected love in middle age. The score featuring Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto #2 is well-suited to the film. The Guardian named this the Number One Romantic Film of All Time.
