Wide-Ranging Jazz Vocals submitted by Meginator on June 25, 2019, 10:06pm Sarah Vaughan has an ideal voice for mid-century jazz, and her smooth delivery works across a huge vocal range and a variety of musical styles. From scat to early rock and roll, her vocals are expressive and versatile, perfectly adapted to the songs at hand. Despite her obvious talent, some of the tracks landed kind of flat to my ears, but for the right listener I expect they’ll conjure magic.
