Not as good as the other "Alien" movies submitted by shumoon on September 25, 2012, 6:28am I felt this movie was complicated by introducing another alien race alongside Ridley Scott's "Alien" monsters. The premise was good, but the plot wasn't executed as well.

Not as Good as a Whap Upside of the Head submitted by James C. Clark on January 17, 2013, 9:30am Apparently this movie is popular because it raises a lot of questions about humans, their origin, and perhaps their ultimate fate. Nice, but the movie is a mishmash. One thing that future mankind has NOT learned, apparently, is to avoid sending out an exploratory ship filled with people who essentially do not know each other, like each other, or even know why they're there -- have they never watched science fiction movies? At least there are the requisite ancillary characters who are dispatched by slimy beings to set up the apocalyptic second half. Which brings us to the black goo. Why is it there? Was it produced as a biological weapon which then turned on its makers? Find out about the black goo by doing what I did -- Google it.

Not What I Expected submitted by crazypockets on June 16, 2013, 1:31pm I don't know what I expected, but it wasn't really this. So many plot holes. I guess if you're just looking for a straight-up, sci-fi horror movie, this is it. It's suspenseful, gory, creepy, and violent. You'll have plenty of "why are you going in there?! what are you thinking?!" moments as every character in this movie seems to have zero common sense.

Ambiguity doesn't make an interesting film submitted by beeniepie on August 11, 2013, 12:18pm This movie relied too much on ambiguity to make it interesting. The special effects and acting was good, but the overall movie was not worth the running time.

Awful submitted by chioma on July 9, 2014, 1:54pm I absolutely hated this movie. Nothing good in it, no adventure. It was awful I would not want anyone to experience the pain of having to watch this awful film.

It's much better than most reviews submitted by jessNU on July 29, 2018, 8:19am The beginning of the movie is fantastic.

Disconnected submitted by mandevil on July 31, 2018, 11:59pm Some cool visual effects can’t make up for a very uninteresting script

Wow submitted by lstorc on August 29, 2018, 9:09pm This was a complete success! It's arguably better than the Alien movies made prior to it.

Stuck in my head submitted by RebeccaWittekindt on July 30, 2023, 7:36pm While I, like many, were confused at some points during the movie, I did enjoy it. Nothing compares to the original Alien, in my mind, but as a stand-alone this was good. I liked most of the cast, and it was certainly creepy as hell. Noomi Rapace stands out as she usually does.
