Pop Music Goes Instrumental submitted by Meginator on August 1, 2018, 12:33pm This album's highlights are the cover versions of pop hits arranged for piano, cello, and occasional vocal accents; the interplay between the two instruments on the best tracks can be sublime, teasing out unexpected nuances from familiar songs. It's remarkable how well the Piano Guys translate songs that are heavily reliant on synthesized sounds to acoustic instrumentation, and their original tracks operate in much the same vein.
