COMMUNITY REVIEWS

A classic submitted by rdb78 on July 23, 2014, 12:17pm One of jazz's seminal recordings.

From the introductory baseline of So What, to the Harmon muted atmospherics of Flamenco Sketches this is a classic, perhaps *the* classic album in the genre. The entire ensemble is elite, capturing Cannonball Adderly, John Coltrane, and Bill Evans reaching the top of the jazz world.

I'm sure you've heard the album many times without realizing it, for example noted jazz aficionado Clint Eastwood flips it on when he unwinds at home in "In the Line of Fire".

Cool Cool Jazz submitted by Meginator on July 4, 2020, 12:16pm This is top-caliber cool jazz from Miles Davis, relaxed but still displaying the musicians’ incredible talent. The solos have a sense of constant movement to them, with excellent pacing and space for individual ideas to develop and flow into each other naturally. This is an essential jazz album and an especially accessible group of tracks for listeners new to the genre.

For When You Need to Feel Something submitted by mpeecook on July 19, 2022, 4:31pm Holds up no matter how many times you listen to it.
