COMMUNITY REVIEWS
Their best submitted by klickitat on August 20, 2012, 8:41pm In my opinion this is Nickel Creek's most complete album. The built on the potential displayed here on their last (so far?) album WHY SHOULD THE FIRE DIE? Highlights include "Hanging By A Thread," "This Side," and "Green & Gray."
This Side by Nickle Creek submitted by rlsain on August 24, 2019, 2:19pm This CD is pure delight. I've been drawn to traditional bluegrass for many years. Nickle Creek is a 3-some band of what's called progressive bluegrass since the players, Chris Thiele, Sarah and Wayne Watkins are committed players (mandolin, violin, guitar), song writers, singers, and arrangers. Every cut is carefully blended with artists who listen to and work with one another. I'm drawn to Celtic women voices ... Sarah charms. Anything by Nickle Creek is worth the listen.
Incredible Talent submitted by Meginator on August 26, 2020, 4:10pm With their incredible abundance of talent, Nickel Creek may be fundamentally incapable of putting out a bad album, and “This Side” is yet another outstanding showcase of their considerable skills. The band’s signature mix of bluegrass, country, and pop music is evident on each track, with a good balance of moods, tempos, and subject matter. This is a very accessible entry point for modern folk music, made by some of the best musicians in the business.
