80s submitted by crazypockets on July 25, 2013, 12:58pm Another classic of the 80s. My family loved this movie, mostly because Uncle Buck reminded us of one of my redneck uncles (the car!). I'm pretty sure a lot of people have an uncle like him in their family. Every parent in the world will cheer when he gets out his electric drill and golf clubs...we've all run across that one punk teenage boy who just needed to get smacked with a golf ball.

For a John Hughes 80s movie, it holds up surprisingly well, and I like it better than all of his other films. John Candy is brilliant! It's also my favorite Macaulay Culken performance.
