so and so submitted by Zhengyang1022 on July 14, 2011, 4:00pm Some parts of the movie was good, some were good: but i would say the book is better.
Meh... Not great. submitted by Tanner on July 17, 2011, 10:36am If you are going to read the book and watch the movie, watch the movie first. If you don't read the book then it's a pretty good movie... (Ish) But if you do read the book the movie kind of sucks.

Avoid submitted by kittenkat101 on June 17, 2012, 7:30pm I did not enjoy this movie. It strayed from the book, but I can forgive that IF the movie itself has good qualities. This was essentially the stereotypical bad fantasy movie.
meh... submitted by isaacbrooks on August 5, 2013, 7:05am It was an ok movie, but nothing compared to the actual book.
MEH submitted by Ayaldia3600 on June 18, 2014, 11:35am Okay movie. Special effects were good but strayed from the plot of the book.
soo dissapointing submitted by VanCancue on July 26, 2018, 8:55pm The movie was very very ordinary. it a very was a disappointing adaptation of the book. The only thing I liked was the when Saphira hatched. The creature they created was adorable. Despite the cast the movie just did not work. The movie was too short to develop the necessary chemistry between the key characters. They seem to take too many privileges. it seemed more like an experimental adaptation. A sorry adaptation of an amazing book.
Disappointing adaptation submitted by gf94 on June 24, 2022, 11:51am Really let down by this adaptation. The changes from the book really were the wrong choices, the actors had no chemistry with each other. Sad as this torpedoed the movie franchise.
