COMMUNITY REVIEWS

wloh submitted by willyloh on July 9, 2012, 11:48am no wonder this movie was a flop or disaster when 1st shown in theaters. Not only the name was inappropriate and the story is just horrible. No real good plot, but so much meaningless fighting, weird monsters, and many others. Just wasting your time sitting in front for so long.

Better Than Expected submitted by Sonia on July 30, 2012, 9:11am From other reviews I had read I wasn't expecting to like this movie but it was actually quite entertaining. I especially liked the ongoing mystery and the combination of 1800's America and extra-terrestrials. If you like Star Wars or Gladiator type films then this movie is for you.

Not terrible submitted by crazypockets on July 13, 2013, 11:18am I expected this movie to be awful from what I'd heard about it. But it wasn't really that bad. It was kind of fun with some good cinematography, and of course Taylor Kitsch is really cute. If you don't take it too seriously, you might enjoy it.

not as bad as rated submitted by seadocks on July 28, 2013, 11:27am I was surprised by this film. First i remember my dad reading the stories when i was a kid and I thought they were cool, second the film is trying to catch that unreal feel and some people want it to be more serious. I felt that it was a good combo of the story plus fun. I really enjoyed it and the books are still pretty good, pretty amazing when you realize they were originally released in pieces over months. I thought the film was better than the reviewers said when it was in the theater, I wish it would have done better I would have liked to see some more john carter films.

True to the book submitted by mandevil on February 16, 2017, 1:21pm Strange but interesting and true to the source material. Light weight entertainment.
