Very good submitted by 21621031390949 on July 12, 2012, 11:12am I love this movie. It is well-directed, interesting, and the acting is very good. Edward Norton is spellbinding and more than a little creepy. Adult themes.

Grows On You submitted by Fevvers - STAR473 on June 26, 2014, 8:04pm The Prestige is one of my favorite movies, and for me The Illusionist did not compare favorably with Nolan's film centered around stage magic. The Illusionist has a simpler, more romantic story, and while there are good performances and production quality, there is just a lack of energy and chemistry. The setting, with Prince Leopold and surrounding tension, is rather interesting in and of itself, however, and overall it is a decent costume drama. But it did lack weight and relied too much on romance over solid storytelling for my taste.

illusionist 2006 submitted by hcf on July 30, 2014, 3:54pm Interesting (but a bit confusing) story

A film of wonder submitted by kencza on July 7, 2021, 8:21am This is a film filled with romance, fantasy, mystery and fine performances from its talented cast and crew. Edward Norton is intense as the illusionist and commands your attention throughout., while Paul Giammati and Jessica Biel put in strong performances as well. This is also a visually attractive movie with beautiful landscape, costumes, and time appropriate sets. Just bring your imagination.........

Magical Movie submitted by MikkiMoscara on July 23, 2023, 3:15pm I loved this movie when it came out and it's timeless. My daughter and husband loved it as well. One of the best plot twists in cinema.
