Coraline submitted by Jen Chapin-Smith on July 30, 2013, 4:29pm "Coraline" is a horror novel about a girl who wanders into a house like hers in a parallel universe. There, she discovers her Other Mother and Other Father, who pay far more attention to her than her real parents, yet who have buttons instead of eyes. Coraline thinks the entire place is marvelous until her safety becomes threatened.
The book is fascinating, but has some really creepy part and so is probably not appropriate for children despite its cover art and short length.
The book won numerous prizes, including the Hugo Award and the Nebula Award.

Idea submitted by Mackay2002 on May 29, 2014, 5:57pm the Idea of a parallel universe is far out of reach for human understanding. I the author visualises the thought of magic cannibalism and the idea that animals have some sourt of intellect.
