Still Strong submitted by Meginator on July 10, 2011, 8:55pm Fans of the early 2000s will look fondly upon this CD, which continues the veritable hit parade that is the Now! series. Though most know her now for the infamous musings on the origination of tuna, Jessica Simpson actually had a couple of hits back in more innocent times, and the emerging popularity of pop-punk is well represented with songs from Sum 41 and perennial contenders Blink-182. fear not, however, for NSYNC's last great hit, "Pop," is present, as well as Jennifer Lopez's low-key "I'm Real" and even a club hit for good measure. Though "All Star" is immeasurably better than "I'm a Believer," Smash Mouth deserves more credit for crafting good pop hits than they usually get, and U2 again seems out of place on an otherwise particularly pop-heavy offering from the Now! folks. Regardless, I miss this era in music and I'm more than happy to let this disc take me back. It's not quite as strong as some of the others, but still presents a quality mix of hits and forgotten gems.
