Great Enemies-to-Lovers Drama submitted by Meginator on July 3, 2020, 3:53pm This film holds up surprisingly well given that it was made in 1992. The plot is a fairly standard enemies-to-friends arc within a fairly standard underdog sports arc, but the setup is relatively unique and the banter is crisp and hilarious. Sure, you have to suspend a little disbelief about a hockey player suddenly learning jumps and holds, but the leads’ chemistry makes up for it. I recommend this for fans of slightly more serious romantic comedies; it’s predictable and a little bit cheesy, but it’s a lot of fun and just different enough to stand out from the crowd.
