Just so-so submitted by fizzleskittle on June 24, 2012, 4:40pm This was a good rainy day movie, but nothing to write home about. The themes are rather dark, and I felt like there was just too many of them going on at once to do any one of them justice.

I hesitated to watch it because I'd heard it was really sad, but a coworker assured me that I should give it a chance because some of the characters would surprise me. She was right. I enjoyed this despite myself. It was a tearjerker, but it was a therapeutic one. The acting was very good, and the issues were complex yet handled with what I felt was a level of accuracy to real life. I can see why it was nominated for the Oscars.

ok submitted by ftan on July 16, 2012, 3:52pm the acting in this movie is lopsided. the younger, amatuer actors did a better job in my opinion. however. george clooney is the one who won the awards. a one-time see, this movie is sentimental and doesn't quite fit in the comedy category.

My dad and I attempted to watch it but felt that there was a little too much language and not only was the theme of the movie pretty dark, it was also very very choppy and stilted in parts. I think this movie had potential, but it fell short of reaching that.

Really enjoyed this! submitted by ssmyth on June 26, 2013, 9:00am I had big expectations with all the buzz about this movie. Yes, the themes were dark, but very much dealing with real life crisis and situations. Clooney was great. GIve it a chance. I have re-watched this one and it is still great!
