Froehliche Weihnachten submitted by SBNB on June 24, 2012, 3:23pm I absolutely loved this movie. Too often, war is glorified. This movie shows that your "enemies" are really regular people just like you, not the beasts they're made out to be by the governments.

As the world experiences anew the division and hatred of man, this movie helps us all remember that we are children of one family. The sex scene was unnecessary. The laughter and touching gifts were warming to the heart. Worth seeing!

It is RIDICULOUS that they made a whole movie out of a BRIEF TRUCE a day or so long, in a FOUR YEAR HELL that was WW I. submitted by Tassos on March 1, 2022, 9:32am Only some moron would that has not read their HISTORY and seen the HORROR that FOLLOWED this very brief truce, would wax lyrical about this silly movie that I am about to waste my time seeing.

Watching it, this is clearly a MICKEY MOUSE, 'feel good' piece of crap silly movie. Worthless, and soap-operatic.

It is unbelievable that they thought they had a WHOLE MOVIE out of this PR BS..

And you are UTTERLY WRONG, "Merry Christmas". The German Army commited UNSPEAKABLE ATROCITIES ALSO IN WW I!!!! Many many Villages in Belgium were OBLITERATED and their people MASSACRED for little reason. And this is just ONE example.
